Overview
The 19th edition of the Jousting Tournament at Posterstein Castle took place for Pentecost 2025. Three days of medieval spectacle with equestrian tournaments by Wenzel's Knighthood, over 40 market stalls, jugglers, music groups, a fire show, and the famous evening tournament with a ride through fire and flames.
19th Jousting Tournament — Review Pentecost 2025
The 19th edition of the 2025 Jousting Tournament continued the tradition that has grown since 2007. Three days of the Middle Ages with equestrian tournaments, a medieval market, and a family program — Wenzel's Knighthood competed three times daily, Rudolfo's fire show provided the evening highlight. Thousands of visitors from Eastern Thuringia and all of Central Germany flocked to Posterstein for Pentecost. This set the stage for the 20th anniversary tournament in 2026.
