Overview

The Johannisbergfest 2025 in Freudenberg took place from June 21st to 24th around the feast day of John the Baptist. Festive services, pilgrimage devotions, mountain festival with a festival tent and catering, as well as the St. John's Bonfire, once again characterized the four-day pilgrimage on the Johannisberg.

In 2025, the Johannisbergfest once again attracted thousands of pilgrims and festival guests to the Johannisberg near Freudenberg. The festival followed the traditional four-day pattern with festive services in the Johannisbergkirche, a torchlight procession, and the grand feast day on June 24th (St. John's Day).

On the eve of the festival, the KLJB Freudenberg had already lit its St. John's Bonfire – a traditional solstice bonfire that marked the beginning of the festival days. The festival tent on the Johannisberg was open on all four days, with catering provided by clubs from Freudenberg and the surrounding area.
