Overview

The 16th Jewish Week Leipzig took place in June 2024. As in previous years, it offered a broad program of concerts, readings, films, theater performances, exhibitions, and formats for encounters. The Israelite Religious Community and the City of Leipzig, together with numerous partner institutions, celebrated Jewish culture in the Saxon metropolis.

16th Edition 2024

In the summer of 2024, the 16th Jewish Week Leipzig took place — a week of Jewish culture, history, and contemporary life in numerous venues across the city. Concerts, readings, film series, theater performances, and discussions brought a broad audience together with Jewish and non-Jewish cultural creators.

The Israelite Religious Community of Leipzig opened the Synagoge Keilstraße to guests, the Gewandhaus presented a classical concert with Jewish compositions, and readings were held in bookstores and schools. The Jewish Week once again confirmed its firm place in Leipzig's cultural calendar.
