Overview

The 38th Jewish Cultural Days Berlin ran from November 13 to 23, 2025, under the motto "Atid — Future." Over 40 individual events with German, Israeli, and international artists — concerts, theater, readings, films, panels, and children's/youth programs — took place at the Rykestraße Synagogue and other Berlin venues. The opening concert "Let My People Grow" led by Igor Budinstein combined Jewish history with well-known Hollywood film music. Highlights included the comedy show by Mordechi Rosenfeld on November 20 and jazz bassist Avishai Cohen with the Hebrew Book Band.

The 2025 edition was themed "Atid — Future" and, under the artistic direction of Avi Toubiana, brought together a high-caliber program. The opening concert "Let My People Grow", led by Igor Budinstein, combined Jewish history with well-known Hollywood film scores — excerpts from Oscar-winning films like "Yentl" and "Life Is Beautiful" were performed. Comedian Mordechi Rosenfeld celebrated his Berlin comeback on November 20. Other highlights included performances by jazz bassist Avishai Cohen & The Hebrew Book Band Chapter II with a Berlin-exclusive program at the Rykestraße Synagogue, as well as concerts with Lior Suchard, Marina Maximilian, and Rami Kleinstein. The Jewish Community of Berlin and the Berlin Senate Department for Culture jointly supported the festival — the eleven festival days attracted a cross-generational audience from Berlin, Germany, and the international Jewish diaspora.
