Indie and Pop Festival at Grüner See near Ratingen — Late Summer Classic with Von Wegen Lisbeth
Anyone who has visited the Jetzt & Immer Festival once rarely leaves without new favorite bands. Since its premiere, the young festival has established itself as a insider tip for sophisticated German-language indie pop, young singer-songwriters, and pop rap. The venue is Grüner See on Volkardeyer Straße in Ratingen — an idyllic swimming lake on the edge of the district, which is transformed into an open-air stage with festival flair for the entire weekend.
Friday traditionally focuses on the festival's indie newcomer profile — fresh acts like Ritter Lean, Blumengarten, Jassin, Soffie, Emma Rose, and $ONO$ CLIQ share the stage with the already established Hamburg band Blond. Saturday belongs to the headliners: Von Wegen Lisbeth, one of the most successful German-language indie bands of the last ten years, will close the festival — flanked by the Late Night Special as well as Ivo Martin, Vicky, and Bouncy Bitch.
Ratingen is located in the Mettmann district, just a few minutes from Düsseldorf's city limits — easily accessible by bus lines 754 and 759 from Düsseldorf's transport hub. With around 90,000 inhabitants, the city is one of the larger ones in the district and offers Grüner See as an extraordinary natural location for a festival that combines urban indie music with a green lake setting. A combination that is unparalleled in NRW.
The festival programs what currently has energy in the German-language indie and pop scene. Established acts like Blond and Von Wegen Lisbeth share the stages with newcomers like Soffie, Emma Rose, and Ritter Lean.
