Overview
In 2025, the Spring Market once again transformed Jena's Marktplatz and Eichplatz into a large festival area for ten days. Concerts, amusement rides, and culinary diversity attracted thousands of visitors from Jena and the wider region to the city center. Quiet Hours and the SafeNow® app made the market particularly accessible. A Sunday shopping event rounded off the festivities.
The 2025 edition continued the established ten-day format. With bands from Thuringia and regional acts on the main stage, dodgems, a Ferris wheel, and a 9D cinema on Eichplatz, JenaKultur confirmed the Spring Market as the most important spring event in the university city. International gastronomy and the reduced prices on Wednesdays added variety to the program — the Sunday shopping event crowned the festival with extended opening hours in the city center.
