Edition 2025 — Altstadtfest Jena

The Jenaer Altstadtfest 2025 once again transformed the historic city centre into a festival mile for ten days around the Marktplatz and Eichplatz. Live music featuring blues, rock'n'roll, dance, and brass band, along with amusement rides, food stalls, and the typical specialities of Jenaer Schellenbier, Thüringer Bratwurst, and international street food characterised the festival. Organiser: JenaKultur.

Jena Old Town Festival 2025 — City Festival with Tradition

In 2025, the Jenaer Altstadtfest in September once again attracted tens of thousands to the city centre. As in previous years, the Marktplatz and Eichplatz shared the central stages and showman attractions. The mix of stage programmes (blues, rock'n'roll, brass band), Volksfest atmosphere, and culinary diversity was once again the key to success.

JenaKultur, as the organiser, supplemented the programme with themed formats with historical references on the Marktplatz and managed stage coordination between the various venues. The festival has been considered one of the largest city festivals in Central Germany for years.
