Overview

The premiere of the Jecke Meile 2025 sent a clear signal for year-round Rhenish Carnival tradition in Leverkusen. The 22 carnival societies affiliated with the FLK presented themselves in the Schlebusch pedestrian zone, with dance performances and stage music from the Rhenish Carnival repertoire characterizing the weekend. In parallel, the 607th Schlebusch Schützenfest took place. Organizer: Festausschuss Leverkusener Karneval (FLK).

The 2025 premiere of the Jecke Meile was a success: the Schlebusch pedestrian zone was well-attended on both days, and the 22 affiliated carnival societies of the FLK presented their activities, dance groups, princely figures, and traditional artifacts.

The concept – Carnival in summer as an all-year-round club festival – was well-received by Leverkusen's citizens and carnival enthusiasts from beyond the region. In parallel, the traditional 607th Schlebusch Schützenfest took place, bringing together Carnival tradition, Schützenfest tradition, and a folk festival atmosphere in one weekend.
