Jeck im Sunnesching Aachen celebrated its acclaimed premiere in 2025 at the CHIO grounds in the Soers. Around 12,000 visitors came to the open-air version of the Rhenish carnival sound — Kasalla, Brings, Cat Ballou, Planschemalöör, Druckluft, and Hopfenkehlchen captivated the audience. The success immediately secured a 2nd edition for 2026 with an expanded line-up.
The premiere of Jeck im Sunnesching in Aachen in 2025 made a statement: Over 12,000 visitors flocked to the CHIO grounds in mid-September, an arena normally reserved for the international equestrian elite. Six Rhenish top acts performed under the sun, and the concept of carnival music in late summer was a complete success. The organizers — Gaffel Becker & Co. — immediately confirmed a 2nd edition for 2026 after the event, announcing four additional top acts: Höhner, Bläck Fööss, Kempes Feinest, and Stadtrand. After its premiere, Aachen was firmly established in the festival tour calendar of Jeck im Sunnesching.
