Overview

The 31st Jazz Open Stuttgart took place from July 2nd to 13th, 2025, once again bringing international stars to Schlossplatz and the courtyard of the Old Palace. With concerts by Norah Jones, Sting, Anastacia, Iggy Pop, and other headliners, the festival confirmed its position as one of the most important summer events in Baden-Württemberg. Around 60,000 paying guests, plus numerous visitors to the free Open Stages — a successful festival year under festival director Jürgen Schlensog.

Jazz Open 2025 — Schlossplatz in Summer

The 31st Jazz Open Stuttgart took place from July 2nd to 13th, 2025 — as usual, divided between the grand Schlossplatz for the headliners and the intimate Old Palace for the jazz concerts. International pop, rock, and jazz stars attracted around 60,000 paying guests to the Stuttgart city center; thousands more visitors came for the free Open Stages.

The festival once again demonstrated its status as one of the most important summer festivals in Southern Germany. The BIX Jazzclub, SpardaWelt, and Fruchtkasten hosted the club programs; on Schlossplatz itself, stars performed under the open sky against the majestic backdrop of the New Palace. The festival concluded on Sunday, July 13th, with an open-air concert.
