Edition 2025 — Jamel rockt den Förster

The 2025 edition of 'Jamel rockt den Förster' took place on August 22nd and 23rd, 2025, again on the Lohmeyer family's farm in Jamel (Gägelow municipality). Headliners included Die Toten Hosen, Kraftklub, and Paula Hartmann. Around 3,500 visitors came to the Baltic Sea to celebrate rock and democracy for a weekend. In the same year, the organizers were awarded the Aachen Peace Prize.

Review: Jamel rockt den Förster 2025

The 18th edition (after the pandemic-related break in 2020) once again attracted around 3,500 guests to the small district of Jamel. The musical spectrum ranged from punk rock classics to young German-language pop and rap voices. Headlining sets by Die Toten Hosen and Kraftklub marked the highlight on Saturday evening, while Paula Hartmann added new accents with her distinctive indie pop.

As always, the program was only revealed on the festival day – Birgit and Horst Lohmeyer have maintained this tradition since 2017 to ensure that tickets are purchased out of conviction. The festival was accompanied by a dense security concept; the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern police were present with numerous officers.

Beyond the stage, the 2025 Aachen Peace Prize honored the Lohmeyer couple for their long-standing civil society commitment – an recognition that was celebrated in numerous media outlets.
