Overview

The 2025 Irish Raceday attracted around 9,800 visitors to the Hoppegarten racecourse — another sold-out race day with an Irish atmosphere. The Oleanderrennen was won by a French stable; the supporting program with live music, Guinness, and picnic blankets on the infield ran like clockwork.

In 2025, Irish Raceday once again proved to be one of Germany's biggest horse racing events. The combination of a high-quality sporting program (with the classic Oleanderrennen as its centrepiece) and Irish festival culture is unique in the German horse racing season.

The Hoppegarten racecourse benefits from its proximity to Berlin: the S5 line brings Berlin families to the track in 30 minutes, and international visitors (especially the Irish and British, who appreciate Hoppegarten as a historic venue) come every year. In 2025, warm May weather and an attractive program ensured full grandstands.
