Edition 2025 — Irchenrieth Kirwa
The Irchenriether Kirwa 2025 was celebrated in mid-August in the village center. Kirwa lads and lasses in traditional costume, Kirwabaum, Plärrer dance, and hospitality at St. Barbara's Church and the Florian Fountain – the Oberpfalz format once again attracted hundreds of guests from the region.
As every year, the Kirwa lads, lasses, the Irchenrieth Volunteer Fire Department, and the KLJB gathered in August 2025 for the traditional Kirwa. The festival Sunday with the procession, Plärrer dance, and regional dance band was once again the highlight of a festival weekend that significantly shapes the village's identity.
The Irchenriether Kirwa has evolved in recent years from a small village Kirwa to a top event in the northern Oberpfalz. The close connection between the parish, the fire department, and the KLJB makes the event a unifying occasion across generations.
