Edition 2025 — Sommerfestival Kampnagel
The Sommerfestival 2025 ran for three weeks in August on the Kampnagel grounds. As always, between dance, theatre, performance, music, and visual arts, with international guest performances from Europe, Latin America, and Asia, as well as Hamburg's own productions. Artistic direction: Amelie Deuflhard.
Over the three festival weeks in 2025, more than 25 productions were presented on Kampnagel's stages. The spectrum ranged from large-scale choreographies and political documentary theatre to intimate performance formats and experimental concerts.
The courtyard garden and festival bar once again attracted a diverse Hamburg audience, who came not only to watch but also to meet. The festival thus once again confirmed its central role in the North German avant-garde landscape.
