The 2025 edition once again showcased the breadth of what a festival in Hamburg, under the umbrella of the Elbphilharmonie and Laeiszhalle, can offer: grand symphonic works in the Grand Hall, intimate chamber music in the Chamber Hall, historical performance practice, and contemporary premieres in the Laeiszhalle. In the Hamburg-Mitte district, the Musikfest once again formed the link between HafenCity and Neustadt – attracting an international audience that specifically travels for the festival weeks.
