The Internationales Musikfest Hamburg 2025 brought together top orchestras and soloists from around the world in the Elbphilharmonie and Laeiszhalle for over five weeks. Programmes revolving around the annual festival motto filled more than 40 evenings, solidifying Hamburg's position as a European city of music.

Internationales Musikfest 2025 – Review

The 2025 edition once again showcased the breadth of what a festival in Hamburg, under the umbrella of the Elbphilharmonie and Laeiszhalle, can offer: grand symphonic works in the Grand Hall, intimate chamber music in the Chamber Hall, historical performance practice, and contemporary premieres in the Laeiszhalle. In the Hamburg-Mitte district, the Musikfest once again formed the link between HafenCity and Neustadt – attracting an international audience that specifically travels for the festival weeks.
