Internationales Afrika-Festival Tübingen

Anniversary 2025

With its 25th edition in 2025, the International Afrika-Festival Tübingen celebrated its quarter-century. The program was accordingly extensive: several stages, an expanded forum on intercultural education, special guests from Senegal, Nigeria, Tanzania, and Ethiopia, and an additional exhibition area featuring works by African and Afro-diasporic artists.

Since its founding in 2007, the festival has established itself as the central platform for the pan-African diaspora community in Germany. As every year, the organizers were the association The Africa we want e.V. and the Umoja Initiative, with support from the City of Tübingen and the State of Baden-Württemberg.
