Overview
The 60th International Sund Swimming marked an anniversary in 2025: for six decades, swimmers have been crossing the Strelasund from Altefähr to Stralsund. The main race and the Children's Sund Swim once again attracted a large field of participants and numerous spectators to the Stralsund shore.
With the 60th edition, the International Sund Swimming celebrated a milestone anniversary in 2025. The traditional long-distance swim across the Strelasund led again from the Rügen municipality of Altefähr to the Hanseatic city of Stralsund. In addition to the main race, the Children's Sund Swim was also on the program. As in previous years, the starting places were quickly taken – proof of the event's enduring popularity in the Vorpommern-Rügen district.
