The Steilshoop Neighbourhood Festival 2025 celebrated its 35th anniversary on September 20 on the Campus Steilshoop. Stage programme, dance performances, culinary diversity, and over 60 represented neighbourhood cultures marked the day — a continuous manifestation of Steilshoop's identity.

2025 Retrospective

The 2025 edition marked the festival's 35th anniversary and attracted families from the entire neighbourhood and neighbouring Bramfeld. Live music from over 60 neighbourhood cultures — Kurdish, Turkish, African, Polish, Syrian, Arabic ensembles — characterised the stage programme. The culinary stands offered international specialities at deliberately low prices.

The Steilshoop district in the Wandsbek borough has been one of the most reliable addresses for intercultural neighbourhood culture in Hamburg since 1989 with its neighbourhood festival — a 35-year tradition kept alive by volunteer work and political awareness.
