Overview

The 2024 International Puppet Festival attracted several thousand visitors and collectors from all over the world to the two towns of Neustadt b.Coburg and Sonneberg. As with every edition, the international collector's exchange was at the center, complemented by special exhibitions, factory sales, and a dense family program on the highlight weekend.

The 2024 edition confirmed the festival's reputation as the most important date in the international doll and teddy bear collector scene. Throughout the week, the collector's exchange, special exhibitions in the toy museums of both towns, and factory sales at the still-active manufacturers in the region took place.

The festival is held every two years – the next regular festival after 2024 will be in 2026, in May. Between the major editions, there are smaller themed weekends and special exhibitions in the museums that keep the heritage of the toy region alive.
