Overview

The International Organ Concerts St. Peter series ran in 2025 with its usual summer and early autumn schedule in the Baroque Church in the Hochschwarzwald. International organists gave concerts on the Klais main organ and the Rieger choir organ, alongside crossover programs with piano, harp, and other instruments. The combination of the baroque monastery church, exceptional acoustics, and an internationally selected lineup of soloists once again confirmed the series as one of the most important organ concert series in Southern Germany.

2025 — Series in the Baroque Church

The 2025 season continued the tradition: over the summer months, concerts with international soloists took place, featuring both organs of the Baroque Church. Programs ranged from classical organ literature to contemporary works and improvisations, with crossover programs featuring piano and harp — the series remained stylistically broad without losing its focus on the organ as the main instrument. A notable example was a farewell concert in May 2025 with works by Bach, Messiaen, and Ligeti under the theme 'Transience'.
