In 2025, Haithabu also invited visitors for Pentecost to a focused special program on the open-air grounds of the Viking houses. Demonstration workshops and guided tours complemented the museum's permanent exhibition, making the extended Pentecost weekend one of the busiest dates of the season.
The UNESCO World Heritage Site of Haithabu has used Pentecost for years as a date for an in-depth educational program. In 2025, classic Viking themes were the focus — crafts, shipbuilding, trade. The new format «International Metalworking Meet» in 2026 builds on this tradition and further sharpens the thematic profile.
