Overview
The 54th International Jazz Week Burghausen took place in spring 2025 in the Wackerhalle and at venues across Burghausen. As every year, stars of the international jazz scene and young artists from across Europe gathered for a week of packed programming with concerts, sessions, and the final of the European Young Artists' Jazz Award. Several thousand visitors from Germany, Austria, and all over Europe traveled to the Upper Bavarian town on the Salzach.
The 2025 edition seamlessly continued the festival tradition dating back to 1970. International acts performed in the Wackerhalle, emerging talents showcased their skills at the European Young Artists' Jazz Award, and jam sessions took place nightly in the Jazzkeller. BR Klassik once again broadcast live from Burghausen — the ARD media library offers recordings for later listening. The organizers, Interessengemeinschaft Jazz Burghausen e.V., welcomed several thousand visitors once again.
