Review 2024 — Biennial Predecessor Edition

As the International Jazz Festival Hamm takes place every two years, the last edition before 2026 was in 2024. As usual, the festival presented three days of jazz programming at the Kurhaus Bad Hamm, featuring a mix of established jazz greats and newcomers. The program followed the same concept as in 2026: an opening highlight on Friday, an intensive pianists' double bill on Saturday, and a big band closing concert on Sunday.

In 2024, the festival confirmed its reputation as Westphalia's most important jazz event and a magnet for a discerning, jazz-loving audience from across the Ruhr region, Münsterland, and beyond. The next edition in 2026 coincides with the Hamm800 city anniversary, giving it additional significance in the city's cultural calendar.
