Edition 2025 — Jazz Days Bad Elster

The 21st International Jazz Days Bad Elster took place from August 15 to 17, 2025. Opening concert with South Tyrolean brass virtuosos Bozen Brass, closing on August 17 with the jazz crime reading "Good Bait — The Bait Is Me" based on Bill Moody (narrator Martin Bertram, live jazz band). Preview on August 12 with Ted & Zed Mitchell (blues and ballads), piano matinee in the KunstWandelhalle, and big band promenade on the Badeplatz on Sunday.

21st Edition 2025 — Bozen Brass and a Jazz Crime

The 2025 Jazz Days once again relied on the proven mix of theatre, open-air, and KunstWandelhalle concerts. The festival opened on Friday, August 15, with a theatre concert by Bozen Brass from South Tyrol — a virtuoso brass ensemble that was celebrated with a standing ovation in Bad Elster.

The closing on Sunday, August 17, featured "Good Bait — The Bait Is Me," a jazz crime reading based on the novel by Bill Moody. Actor Martin Bertram read the text, accompanied by a live jazz band. A preview with Ted & Zed Mitchell on August 12, a piano matinee in the KunstWandelhalle, and a big band jazz promenade on Sunday on the Badeplatz rounded off the program.
