Overview
The 32nd International Blues Festival Schöppingen 2025 continued its tradition as a curated Pentecost blues weekend at the Künstlerdorf Schöppingen. Three festival days with an international program from the USA, the UK, and Scandinavia — from acoustic Delta blues to electrified soul-blues sets. Organizer Kulturring Schöppingen e.V. once again presented a mix of veterans and young voices from the international blues scene.
Schöppingen remained a must-attend event on the European blues calendar in 2025. Three days of main stage performances over the Pentecost weekend, international acts selected by Kulturring, plus the usual club festival format with bratwurst, beer, and an audience traveling from all over Germany. As every year, the festival was run entirely by volunteers — a model unmatched in the German festival scene and a hallmark of Schöppingen since the 1990s.
