Overview

The 41st edition of INTERFILM ran in November 2025 in several Berlin cinemas. As in previous years, with five competition programs, international curation, Oscar qualification, and a dense accompanying program. The sibling festival Kuki ran in parallel. Organizer: Interfilm Berlin Management GmbH.

The 2025 edition continued the established INTERFILM format. The focus was again on the five competitions (International, Documentary, Confrontations, German, Eject Awards), complemented by retrospective programs, country focuses, and special screenings with film discussions. The eight-person curatorial team selected a dense program from thousands of international submissions.

With its 41st edition, Interfilm prepared for its 42nd edition in 2026. For over four decades, the festival has become a fixture in Berlin's film landscape – not least due to its consistently international programming policy and its concrete support for filmmakers through the five competition prizes totaling €35,000.
