Overview

The Ingolstadt Literature Days 2025 once again offered a dense program of readings, discussions, and literary encounters in the venues of Ingolstadt's Old Town. The festival brought together established voices of contemporary German-language literature and new discoveries in an atmosphere of personal encounter. The award ceremony of the Marieluise Fleißer Prize was one of the central program points of the festival week.

The 2025 edition continued the established tradition of the Ingolstadt Literature Days: readings in historic venues of the Old Town, encounters with contemporary writers, and a curated program balancing renowned voices and emerging literary talent.

As every year, the award ceremony of the Marieluise Fleißer Prize was a central event. The laureate has traditionally shaped the following festival edition ever since. In addition, there were readings for adults and children, musical formats, and the Literary Night.
