Overview

The Brandenburg Industrial Culture Day is held annually in August at various industrial sites in the state. In Guben, the Gubener Tuche und Chemiefasern e.V. association opens its collection at Gasstraße 4 to showcase the city's textile and chemical fiber history.

The Brandenburg Industrial Culture Day is an annual statewide event series that highlights Brandenburg's industrial heritage. In Guben, the textile and chemical fiber production plays a central role: for four centuries, the textile industry shaped the city on the Lusatian Neisse.

The Gubener Tuche und Chemiefasern e.V. opens its collection at Gasstraße 4 every year and presents special exhibitions on the history of the city's industry. The continuous volunteer work of the association preserves a rare textile-technical documentation that is hardly comparable anywhere else in Germany.
