Overview

The India Summer Days 2025 took place parallel to DAS FEST in the Günther-Klotz-Anlage. Three days of Indian culture with dance performances, classical music, yoga sessions, Indian bazaar, and authentic street food. Thousands of Karlsruhe residents and festival visitors enjoyed the Indian cultural program alongside the major city festival.

India Summer Days 2025

The 2025 edition continued the successful format. Classical dance performances by Bharatanatyam and Kathak dancers from South and North India, Bollywood performances by Karlsruhe dance schools, Bhangra drummers from Punjab, and classical music (sitar, tabla) characterized the stage program.

The Indian street food — curries, dosa, samosas, naan, lassi, chai — drew queues, the bazaar with saris, jewelry, and henna tattoos was a magnet, and the morning yoga sessions found their regular attendees. The parallel India Week Karlsruhe complemented the festival with readings, film screenings, and exhibitions on German-Indian relations.
