Overview

The 34th edition of the Impulse Festival in 2025 showcased ten productions of independent performing arts from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland on NRW stages. Alongside the showcase, the Post-West thematic focus programme and "Impulse Meets…" shaped the festival. Organizer: NRW KULTURsekretariat in cooperation with FFT Düsseldorf, Ringlokschuppen Ruhr, studiobühneköln, and other partners.

The 34th edition in 2025 continued the decades-long tradition of the Impulse Festival: a showcase of ten selected productions, the Post-West thematic focus, and "Impulse Meets…" discourse and networking formats.

The festival presented current works from the independent German-speaking scene and facilitated exchange between artists, theatre programmers, and a broader audience. The annual overview of the contemporary performance, theatre, and dance landscape in the DACH region once again confirmed the Impulse Festival as the most important industry meeting point for the independent scene.
