Edition 2025 — IMA Neumarkt

The 14th International Meistersinger Academy 2025 took place, as is traditional, in the summer at the Historic Reitstadel in Neumarkt. The five public concerts – orchestra concert, Lied recital, dress rehearsal, opera and operetta gala, cabaret – once again attracted classical music audiences from all over the Oberpfalz and beyond. Artistic Director: Prof. Dr. Edith Wiens. Patron: Brigitte Fassbaender.

14th IMA 2025

The 2025 season continued the established concept: five weeks of intensive coaching, masterclasses with guest professors, demo recordings, and five public concerts as showcases. Scholarship holders from all over the world once again came to Neumarkt, performed in the opening with the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra, and presented a demanding program of BR Studio Franken quality at the Lied recital.

Preparation for the 2026 Anniversary

As early as 2025, preparations were made for the 15th anniversary season in 2026 – particularly the special anniversary concert with the Munich Radio Orchestra on April 30, 2026, and the establishment of the new Opera Verace Prize. Thus, 2025 seamlessly continued the anniversary narrative without neglecting its own program highlight.
