Overview
The 31st Ilmenau Old Town Festival took place on the first weekend of June 2025 in the city center. As in previous years, the five stages featured rock, pop, electro, and live acoustic music. Kuttelgasse provided culinary delights for guests; the children's area with theater and creative workshops attracted families.

For three days, Ilmenau transformed into a large open-air stage. Thousands of visitors from Ilmenau, the Ilm district, the TU student body, and guests from all over Southern Thuringia celebrated on the five stages. The established mix of live music on the fountains, disco at Kirchplatz, street food on Kuttelgasse, and children's program proved successful again — and the Sunday shopping extended the festival weekend into the early evening.
