Overview

In January 2025, the VELTINS EisArena Winterberg also hosted a full IBSF Bobsleigh & Skeleton World Cup. The 2024/2025 season brought the international top teams to the Sauerland region – bobsleigh, skeleton, monobob – a proven tradition for decades on one of the world's best ice tracks.

World Cup 2025 in Winterberg

The 2024/2025 season once again saw the VELTINS EisArena as an important World Cup stop. In early January 2025, the international bobsleigh and skeleton elite competed for World Cup points on the 1,609-meter-long ice track with 14 curves. The positive reception and high spectator numbers allowed the World Cup to be continuously awarded to Winterberg for the 2025/2026 season – this time with the date of January 2nd–4th, 2026, which particularly brings momentum to the winter sports season right after the New Year's celebrations.
