Overview
In 2025, the Grasedanz also took place in the traditional three-day format: birch felling on Saturday, parade and hay auction on Sunday, plus witch night, medieval market, and volleyball tournament.
The 140th edition since its founding year in 1885 reaffirmed the vitality of this custom. Young women from Hüttenrode were elected Hay Princess, and the hay auction, as always, attracted bidders from all over the Harz.
