Edition 2025 — Biikebrennen Husum
The Husumer Biikebrennen 2025 burned on February 21st on the embankment at Dockkoog. Thousands of visitors came for the lighting at 6:30 PM, the Biikerede, and the fire brigade band. The Frisian National Holiday was traditionally concluded with a Grünkohlessen in Husum's inns.
As every year, several thousand visitors gathered on the evening of February 21, 2025, on the embankment at Dockkoog. The Husum Volunteer Fire Brigade had prepared the fire for weeks, the Biikerede honored the Frisian tradition and addressed current social issues. Around 6:30 PM, the Biike was lit.
As always, the Viöl fire brigade band accompanied the event, and free shuttle buses ran between the harbor parking garage and Dockkoog. Afterwards, Husum's inns filled with Biike attendees for the traditional Grünkohlessen.
