The 40th anniversary edition of the Husum Film Days took place in 2025 at the Kino-Center Husum, marking four decades of uninterrupted festival history. As every year, the festival presented a curated film week featuring Schleswig-Holstein films, current German cinema, a children's and youth program, and a thematic focus. Film discussions with directors rounded off the program.
Review 2025 — 40th Anniversary
With its 40th edition in 2025, the Husum Film Days marked a significant anniversary: four decades of film culture in Husum, supported by the Volkshochschule Husum e.V. and a volunteer curatorial team. The anniversary program included, in addition to the classic program pillars, a special look back at the festival's history and selected films from previous editions.
The 40th edition confirmed the continuity and quality that have characterized the festival since 1986 — and laid the foundation for the 41st edition in 2026.
