In 2025, the Hückeswagener Hüttenzauber already invited visitors on the second Advent weekend to Bahnhofstraße and the lower Islandstraße. The association Wir sind Hückeswagen e.V. organized the Advent weekend with regional crafts, Bergisches cuisine, and live music. The calm, family-friendly atmosphere in front of the historic slate facades attracted families from the Oberbergischer Kreis and surrounding major cities, paving the way for the 2026 edition.
Already in 2025, the Hüttenzauber gathered locals and guests in Hückeswagen on the second Advent weekend around Bahnhofstraße and the lower Islandstraße. With stalls from regional artisans, association stands for mulled wine and Bergisches specialties, and a family-friendly program, the market characterized the Advent weekend of the Bergisches Schieferstadt — a deliberate counterpoint to the large markets in Cologne and Düsseldorf.
