Edition 2025 — Hornschlittenrennen
On January 6, 2025, the 54th Hornschlittenrennen Partenkirchen took place — the annual Bavarian Championship on Epiphany. In 2025, too, the field of participants raced down the Hohen Weg from Partnachalm into the valley on historical horn sleds, in front of thousands of spectators. The Hornschlittenverein Partenkirchen continued its tradition maintained since 1971.
The 54th edition of the Hornschlittenrennen on January 6, 2025, continued the Bavarian traditional sports heritage. Approximately 80 four-person teams from the Bavarian Alps competed for fractions of a second on the 1.1 km Hohen Weg course.
The Hornschlittenverein Partenkirchen, which has organized the race since 1971, once again proved that this form of Bavarian tradition has appeal far beyond the Bavarian Forest. Thousands of spectators lined the course, and the previous year's winner — the team „De 3 bläden von Goaßa“ — clinched the title, which they successfully defended in 2026.
