Overview
The Holy Blood Festival 2025, as every year, took place on the Monday after Trinity Sunday — with Vespers on the eve, High Mass on the festival day, and afternoon relic veneration in the Minster of St. Mary and Mark on Reichenau Island. The concert by the Civic Band provided the cultural framework. Pilgrims, the parish community, and guests from the Lake Constance region came together to celebrate the centuries-old tradition.
2025 — Tradition Lives On
In 2025, the Holy Blood Festival once again confirmed its fixed place in Reichenau's annual calendar. The liturgy followed the classic schedule, the Holy Blood Relic was carried through the Minster during the celebration, and the Reichenau Civic Band performed the concert. A religious festival day that connects the history and present of the UNESCO World Heritage island.
