Overview
The Hollefest & Hexennacht 2025, like every year, took place on Walpurgis Night at Beeskow Castle. The Walpurgis bonfire, shadow theater, medieval market with craft demonstrations, and bird of prey show attracted families from Berlin, Frankfurt (Oder), and the entire region to the historic castle.
The 2025 edition began on the eve of May 1st with the traditional raising of the maypole by the Beeskow fire department, a large Walpurgis bonfire, and a shadow theater performance based on the legend of Frau Holle. On the day itself, the medieval market opened with classic craft demonstrations and an acrobatics and bird of prey program. Beeskow Castle uses this format annually to translate the old spring and Hexennacht symbolism into contemporary family culture.
