In 2025, Volkstheater Rostock premiered the maritime music revue »Holländers Seemannsgarn« at the Kleine Komödie Warnemünde. Between November 14 and 27, the musical theatre ensemble combined opera, art songs, and shanties for an evening centered around the Flying Dutchman.
The premiere of »Holländers Seemannsgarn — The Sea in Opera, Song and Shanty« was celebrated by Volkstheater Rostock in November 2025 at the Kleine Komödie Warnemünde. From November 14 to 27, the maritime music revue was on the program.
The musical theatre ensemble guided the audience through an evening of emotion and wit with grand opera arias, atmospheric art songs, and rousing shanties. The framework story of the Flying Dutchman and the intimate stage in the seaside resort of Warnemünde made the premiere a harmonious maritime theatre experience.
