Overview

The 2nd "Edible Courtyard" Drewitz Courtyard Festival was celebrated in June 2025 in the block of Quarter 13 in the Drewitz garden city. As with the first edition in 2024, neighbors and interested guests met for a garden tour, coffee and cake, and hands-on activities centered around the community garden with herbs, fruit trees, and berry bushes, built together since 2020.

The 2nd "Edible Courtyard" Drewitz Courtyard Festival was celebrated in June 2025 in the Drewitz garden city. The Wendeschleife — Klimagarten im Quartier initiative opened the community garden of Quarter 13 to neighbors and external guests. The program included a garden tour, a coffee and cake reception with contributions from the neighborhood, a herb stand with explanations, and hands-on activities for children.

The Courtyard Festival has become a regular fixture in the summer calendar of the Drewitz garden city and is an important sign of the vitality of the "Edible Garden City" idea — a cooperation between residents, ProPotsdam, and GEWOBA, which cultivates the edible city concept in southern Potsdam.
