Overview

The 593rd edition of the Hofer Schlappentag took place on the Whit weekend from June 7th to 9th, 2025. For three days, celebrations were held at the Schießhäuschen and in Hof's town hall — with a beer garden festival, Schlappenschießen, a Hussite tour, and the traditional parade on Whit Monday. The Scherdel brewery again brewed the Schlappenbier specially for 2025. The Kreishandwerkerschaft Hochfranken proclaimed the new Schlappenkönig couple.

In 2025, the Hofer Schlappentag again followed the three-day schedule proven over centuries. The opening beer garden festival on Saturday evening drew several hundred guests to the Schießhäuschen. Sunday focused on the historical city tours and the public Schlappenschießen. Whit Monday crowned the weekend with the traditional parade from the town hall to the Schießhäuschen.

The Schlappenbier — brewed exclusively for the Schlappentag by the Scherdel brewery — was served, as always, in the festival tent at the Schießhäuschen. The Kreishandwerkerschaft Hochfranken ensured the proclamation of the new Schlappenkönigin and the traditional "Etzert leffds!".
