Edition 2025 — Höhlerfestlauf
The 10th edition of the Höhlerfestlauf in 2025 in Gera once again brought hundreds of runners to the Stadtwald and Hofwiesenpark. Distances of 12, 5, 2.5, and 0.8 km, plus the cross-country competition and the traditional music program at the start and finish, characterized the road race event organized by Post-Sportverein Gera e.V.
10th Höhlerfestlauf 2025 — Anniversary for Gera's Road Race Tradition
With its 10th edition in 2025, the Höhlerfestlauf celebrated its first anniversary. Organizer Post-Sportverein Gera e.V. once again organized distances of 12, 5, 2.5, and 0.8 km, plus the cross-country race through Stadtwald and Hofwiesenpark. The music at the start and finish and the award ceremony with the Mayor of Gera are fixed components that make the sporting event a city festival.
As early as 2025, the concept of an inclusion route and a family obstacle race was tested — both will be included as permanent competitions in the program in 2026.
