Overview

The Höfefestival Kreis Wesel 2025 once again brought Jazz, World Music, and Blues to the farmsteads and historic courtyards of the Lower Rhine region. Organizer Kulturprojekte Niederrhein consolidated the series as the Kreis Wesel's most important summer cultural event, funded by the state of NRW, regional savings banks, and the Kreis Wesel — easily accessible, sustainable, and with a programmatic connection between rural and industrial areas.

The concept proved successful as early as 2025: contemporary music on centuries-old Lower Rhine farmsteads, spread over two weeks and several municipalities in the Kreis Wesel. Building on the success of previous years, 2026 saw the expansion with two new farm venues (Bauer Graaf in Schermbeck and Schulte-Drevenacks-Hof in Hünxe) and the consolidation of the program with acts like the Five Guys Quartett, NeckarGanga, and Nawab Khan & The Mantra. Funding from the state of NRW, regional savings banks, and the Kreis Wesel secures the financial basis for this elaborate festival format, which is unique in NRW in its kind.
