Edition 2025 — Altstadtfest Höchstadt
The Höchstadter Altstadtfest 2025 transformed the entire city center into a festival mile on the last weekend of August. Three stages on Schlossberg, Engelgarten, and Marktplatz, a historical handicraft market in the Rathaushof, club stands throughout the old town, and the unique castle courtyard atmosphere in the castle ruins made the Aischgrund festival the social highlight of the region in 2025 as well.
The 2025 edition continued the tradition of the Aischgrund city festival. Three days of music on three stages, club stands with Franconian specialties — especially the famous Aischgrund carp — and the popular handicraft market on Sunday brought thousands of visitors to the historic old town.
The Schlossberg with its castle ruins gives it its very special character: while music plays on the stages around and club stands create a bustling atmosphere, the Schlosshof offers a quieter, almost intimate area — a combination that makes the Höchstadter Altstadtfest unique in Middle Franconia.
