Overview

In the summer of 2025, Höchstädt in the Fichtelgebirge celebrated its meadow festival on the last weekend before the Bavarian summer holidays. A festival parade of schoolchildren and clubs, festival tent entertainment with brass and dance bands on the castle hill, a festival service and Frühschoppen, as well as a children's program characterized the three-day folk festival in the Upper Franconian municipality in the Wunsiedel district.

The Höchstädt Meadow Festival 2025 followed the usual course of a classic Upper Franconian meadow festival: On Saturday afternoon, the parade with schoolchildren, clubs, the fire department, and music bands marched from the village center up to the mountain inn on the castle hill. In the festival tent, brass bands from the Sechsämterland and the neighboring Egerland provided the atmosphere; on Sunday, the festival service and Frühschoppen were on the program. The festival confirmed its status as the social highlight of the summer in the municipality of Höchstädt i.Fichtelgebirge.
