Historischer Markt Großbottwar

The 18th edition of the Historischer Markt took place on a September weekend in 2025 in Großbottwar's old town. As market tradition dictates, MAG Großbottwar transformed the half-timbered old town into a medieval reenactment. Jesters, jugglers, stilt walkers, fire-eaters, and musicians animated the alleys, craftsmen demonstrated their skills in the courtyards, and knights performed tournaments and demonstrations. The children's program with a knights' tournament, barrel carousel, archery, and storytelling, as well as the popular eight-station Night Watchman Theatre Tour on Saturday evening, delighted thousands of visitors. The admission of 6 Silberlinge toll for both festival days proved its worth once again. The festival confirmed its status as one of the most atmospheric medieval festivals in Baden-Württemberg.
