Overview

The Hirschbacher Kirwa 2025 took place from August 14 to 18 in the Hirschbachtal valley. Over five days, Kirwa couples, local clubs, and guests celebrated the traditional Upper Palatinate Kirchweih around Assumption Day with Vuglsuppn, Kirwabaum, dancing in the festival tent, and a grand procession.

In 2025, Hirschbach once again celebrated its traditional Kirchweih around Assumption Day. From August 14 to 18, the young Kirwaboum and Kirwamoila in black and white traditional costume led the festival, which opened with Vuglsuppn and concluded on Kirwamontag with the drawing of lots for the Kirwa couples.

Thus, the 2025 edition continued a tradition documented since 1460 – forming the basis for the 2026 Kirwa around August 15th.
