Review of 2025

In 2025, the Hilpoltsteiner Burgspieler staged Friedrich Dürrenmatt's comedy "Die Panne" in the castle ruins. The story of the travelling salesman Alfredo Trap, who ends up in the house of retired jurists during a car breakdown and gets caught in a macabre court game, found a atmospherically fitting venue in the castle ruins.

Ensemble Boom

Following an appeal from the town of Hilpoltstein for participation, the number of active Burgspieler tripled – a good sign for the future of open-air theatre. Most performances were sold out.
